Introducing: A sale on dating profile photos!
OK, so it’s not new that people have hired me for profile photos, but it’s the first time I’m launching an ad specifically aimed at people who want to find better matches while dating online.
Want to get better matches? There’s no way around it – you simply need to have great photos.
If you want to catch someone’s eye on Tindr or OkCupid, your profile photos need to maximize your looks.
More specifically, it’s how you look in your main profile photo that matters most. A great main profile picture can make all the difference. So ditch those shirtless bathroom selfies! Replace your low-quality phone camera shots with professional photos that show your best side to the world.
What you’re buying: An hour or more of shooting at the San Francisco location of your choice. $75/hr, with a 1 hour min.
The majority of popular profiles have a waist-up or a headshot as their profile photo, with no one else included, so that’s exactly what I’m offering. We will take some posed headshots as well as some more seemingly candid photos, with props or without, depending on your desires. (This is a great chance to get some nice pictures that reflect your hobbies, interests, home, or pets).
Professional editing is included, with no limit on the number of images. You will recieve the finished photos as a digital download.
Fun-night-out group shots are great, but don’t get lost in the crowd, contact me for a quote today!
As part of her 50th birthday celebrations, Sandra decided to drop in for a portrait session. Aside from her work as a mental health advocate, Sandra is also a published author. You can check out some of her work at http://blueberrio.tumblr.com/.
I’m donating half of the proceeds from Lensflower to the relief efforts in Aleppo for the next month.

Chrystalene started hitting the gym this year and wanted to commemorate her milestones. We could have done the usual fitness photos, but she wanted something fiercer. There’s a lot of social pressure for women to stay weak, myths about bulking up and being less feminine, as if having strong muscles cancels out beauty, rather than enhances it. We here at Lensflower think that type of thinking is rubbish, so here she is, glamourous and gorgeous, flexing her muscles for feminism.
Photographs are perhaps the most mysterious of all the objects that make up, and thicken, the environment we recognize as modern. Photographs really are experience captured, and the camera is the ideal arm of consciousness in its acquisitive mood.
Photography is a system of visual editing. At bottom, it is a matter of surrounding with a frame a portion of one's cone of vision, while standing in the right place at the right time. Like chess, or writing, it is a matter of choosing from among given possibilities, but in the case of photography the number of possibilities is not finite but infinite.
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.
Canada’s 2D Photography created this amazing Rube Goldberg device out of photography stuff of all descriptions. (It’s also an ad for a terrible penny auction site, but we’ll let that slide for the sake of art.)
Lung Liu, representing Lensflower Photography, is freshly back from a fantastic whirlwind trip to Minneapolis where he took engagement pictures of Ben and Kirsten at Hidden Beach, on the east side of Cedar Lake. Beautiful people in a beautiful setting. Ben is a graphic designer and Kirsten is an airline stewardess. They met when they were teenagers and are planning on moving in together once they are married. Check out the rest of their images in our Engagement Gallery!
Jim and Marissa’s wedding was especially important to Lensflower Photography, as we are dear friends of the bride and groom. Marissa is a musician and a music teacher and Jim excels as an arranger and a horn player (often on tour with his many bands). They met at university and play together doing Mariachi! Aye aye aye!
More photos of their wedding can be found in our Wedding Gallery.
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever . . . it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
I longed to arrest all beauty that came before me, and at length the longing has been satisfied.
Hello and welcome to Lensflower Photography!
